What I would like to know is if there are any albetra shops that would install this for me and roughly what it would cost as well as how well this step works in winter.

You contacted him in the correct location, he just doesnt come of the forums very much.
Rob and I are in Calgary and his shop is here as well. The install is easy enough that anyone can do it(and i mean ANYONE). The system in the winter is a interesting topic. Although you will get less boost(less power in the batteries because they are cold), the boost that you do get is at such a lower temperature it equals more power. This is two fold if you park in a warm garage or really bag on the car to try and get the batteries warm.
Now comes the issue of traction, you are going to have massive problems with traction in the winter with a supercharged FRS or brz. Running studded winter tires last year i could easily break the tires loose in 3rd or 4th gear(on cold pavement)....this makes merging into traffic interesting. On snow or ice, forget about it, you will not be able to use hardly any boost.
Now the second point, is it fun? Hell yes! It was the most fun i have had in any car. You just have to be aware of the power you have and that if you start boosting with traction control off you have to be ready to catch your car should it try and kill you

.
I took this video last year before i put it away for winter, as you can see even though there was no snow on the ground the cold pavement was enough that my tires wanted to start letting go in 2nd gear closer to redline.
