No, it really wouldn't. This is just the "new" part number that Precision renamed that specific turbo. It's common for them to change part #s frequently. And really it depends on your power goals. For pump gas only, I find that turbo works pretty well, and depending on fuel, should net you in the 300whp range. If you want 350+, (especially on E85) I would upgrade to either the 5558 or 5858.
