Lots of highway driving can be sidetracked/skewed in terms of mpg by just a few lousy city miles.
For example, my hwy driving of over 180 miles (tracked by car) showed me getting 32.8 mpg, I drove in town for about 20 miles and my mpg avg dropped to 22.6. That's just 20miles!
I shift at 3.5k on avg. Joining hwy I shift at 4.5k-5k
if you shift around 2.5-3k, I believe, you get the best mpg. Downside is you gotta drive like a granny and take a deep breath every time you are itching to hit a 6k rev.
But....if I would have chosen a vehicle for its MPG, I would have gotten a 2015 Corolla, 2013 SI Civic or Prius. I chose the FRS for it's rich history>>>enthusiast old ae86 owner>>sporty look>>go-kart feel>>>mpg>>>room>>>uniqueness>>>boxer engine

I noticed my AVG MPG is 23.3..
I live in Vegas, gets hotter than hell here.
My car is garage parked everyday, and I never go over 4k RPM, unless If i'm pulling in the highway or so.
I'm just wondering if its normal to have this kind of MPG... @___@
Noticed it more after I changed my exhausts.. and no I don't rev more cause of the sound. I drive the same with stocks.
Please let me knowwww T^T

Get a better air filter and check your coolant. You should avg 24-26 driving like that on avg temp, (60-80's) but don't forget, LV and Nevada in terms of heat, gets friggin' hot! So, your mpg will drop a bit due to car heat+a/c being on. A/C drops your mpg by 2-3mpg in my own self made observations.

And now its dropped so much from that. I know its hot and traffic stops a lot, but it really shouldnt be this low. mmm.... idk what could be the reason for this happening.

Are you using 93 gas... or lower? Avg is 20 city, 30 hwy....30+ is a gift! Tire pressure ok? In heat tire pressure should expand. Also, for my parents old Ford Windstar, when we dropped psi on tires by 2-4 we got 3-4 better mpg. Maintenance is key and slow ease of driving takes dedication. 93 gas will give you a better mpg than 91.
