If I understand the "scion way of doing business" correctly you may not have to pay any dealer added market adjustment mark up, but you are forced to pay MSRP which in and of itself is already a huge mark up.
Most people with basic negotiation skills end up paying a lot closer to invoice and save a lot off of MSRP. And even then depending on hold back money/incentives/etc. the dealership can still make money selling vehicles at or near invoice.
If the car is a scion you will end up paying more for the car than you would if you could negotiate the price at a toyota dealer.
