I have the BRZ limited and I had a rattle from the passenger door that I just couldn't find, until I checked out the switch cluster in the door panel itself. It is a hard plastic switch set pushed into an adapter sleeve, then into another sleeve attached to the detachable pod. This was loose enough to rattle at certain frequencies. I would recommend adhering something removable to the 4 sides of the switch at least as long as you have the door apart. I just ended up shoving pieces of business card in the gaps to take up the slack and prevent rattles. Excellent write-up and a good reference for when I do something similar to my own doors.
