Also, another pro is that I can go out to the bar with my girlfriend, have a few too many beers with dinner and toss her the keys. I don't need to worry about her burning out a clutch, grinding gears or needing to teach her to drive manual. All I have to worry about is her crashing it, which would be fine with me. I wouldn't mind an insurance payout.

Even if my car was auto I wouldn't let my wife drive it. I've seen the state of her Mazda's hubcaps. I couldn't submit my wheels to that kind of punishment.
