I enjoyed reading your comparison thanks. I took a VW Golf GTI for a spin and loved the power & torque like we had in our 200SX but lack in the '86. I liked the interior etc etc but I found it was no fun. There's a bit of magic in the '86.

Sounds like our taste in cars is similar. Pre my 86 I had a 2000 200SX Spec R.
