The first one actually delivered in the US belongs to @Pekingduck if I recall the order correctly (Yep, here's the story). There is a thread on here somewhere that documents them.

The difficulty is that Scion did a great job with the First 86 promotion, but not so much on the follow-up. For example, the numbered "bling" we received (a carbon license plate frame, a Pen, a couple of other things) were numbered (I have #3) but it doesn't mean anything.

We don't know the order that people were selected, and some of us were "alternates" picked after the first person selected did not make the $500 deposit required to hold the car. The car VIN doesn't tell you anything since they were pulled off the line based on color/trans preference and what was on the first ships over. They were not built sequentially.

They are not even really the first 86 cars, just the first 86 delivered in the US. There are early purchasers that were not a First 86 that have lower VINs. Mine is a 2xx serial numbers, but there are others that have lower, and some have VINs in the 1xxx range.

I suppose those of us that made the trip could have randomly drawn numbers but in the end after presented with all the information we decided as a group that since the only two numbers anyone would really want was 1 or 86, we would all get the same.

I have the first one delivered/registered in Georgia, by about 24 hours. There is a second Georgia First 86 as well, but I beat him to the dealer.
