My complaint about power isn't so much from a functional perspective. I'm able to pass without a problem, I just find it embarassing how hard the car has to work to do it. You hit that torque dip and it's screaming at the top of its lungs while just barely gaining on the minivan lol. I don't know how people aren't bothered by flooring it, getting a lot of noise, and hardly accelerating.

I think deep down a lot more people feel it's a little underpowered, but they feel like they need to jump to their baby's defense, or maybe justify the purchase to themselves. It's human nature for our subconscious to convince us that our decisions were good.. Saw it on brain games

I still wouldn't trade it for a mustang.. I love the car it's just that it's pretty average in terms of acceleration and speed.. And I mean average for modern cars in general, not performance cars. My wife's NA focus feels about as fast as a bone stock 86.

If you think it's fast as lightening good for you, and by all means disregard my bitching. Just giving my point of view. No hard feelings.
