You really honestly can't push the car on a canyon road. Especially at corner exit, which is the whole point of awd. Driving a good 4wd at the track like an sti is pretty exhilerating, in a different way than rwd. the twins will have a sharper turn in and be fun and responsive with mid corner balance and all that usual jazz. In a 4wd the entry and mid corner isn't as exciting but omg when you mash the gas at corner apex and the car grips and turns BETTER and rockets you out of the corner, pretty amazing.
Edit: if you think the twins and sti are in the same class of cars in terms of track performance you are SORELY mistaken

I never said that they were in the same class. The sti is a fine car but for daily driving on public road day to day fun I just feel it cannot compete. Where I live we have one wannabe race track that is rarely open to people to drive on. We get two autocross events a year to drive on it so I dont really take it into consideration when considering a car. Plus I dont feel like the frs is a very good track car in the first place. It is at peak fun on those twisty roads that it was designed for. It was designed for fun, not to be the fastest at the track. HEck the only time I have more fun is when I drive my miata. But then the droning from that starts giving me a headache so then I go back to the frs lol
Anyways I actually plan to get an older sti one of these days just to see what all the hubbub is about. Acceleration has never been my bag since I grow tired of it easily. I like raw driving and not relying on the cars horsepower to go fast. But thats just me and my opinion maaaaan lol

no need to get fiesty
