These kids are subject to insane social pressures to keep up with the latest trends and to get their parents to buy them the latest and most expensive shit coming to the stores/dealerships, just so they can mingle with their group of friends. Their circle of "friends" only care about the financial capacity of each others parents.
They can not relax, appreciate the simple things in life (like our cars, or a hard-earned paycheck), and enjoy the company of people who care about them and not their (parents') money. This is why I am grateful I am not one of them.
