I don't think they hit that (It took nearly 2 years for the first 100k) and given current numbers and history of Japanese sports cars they never will. It's done well but I don't think it met optimistic expectations, it probably exceeded minimum expectations, but doesn't exactly bode well for long term viability of the small lightweight sports car market. |

According to that, their target was only 12,000 86s and 446 BRZs each year.
Not sure if that was just Japan or what?
