It's possible there is a defect or contamination in the screen so that below a certain temp it thinks its being "touched". I would try cleaning the screen (properly) first if it looks like there is anything on it. If that doesn't work I'd take it in for a warranty check.

I'm guessing it stops when the inside temperature rises with the heat on.
