I could be wrong but heres some internet copy and paste specs, if the new car does actually come with 155bhp
86 - 167bhp/ton
New MX5 - 153bhp/ton
S2000 - 192bhp/ton
So the MX5 actually has a lower power to weight ratio than the 86.
Well as for the s2000, one of the reasons that they went out of production was due to the fact that they could not comply with emmissions, so I highly doubt that we will see a production NA 4 pot 2.0 with those figures again, and they achieved those power levels with VTEC YO

! Another NA 2 litre with only a single cam profile to achieve those power levels will be undrivable in day to day conditions...think racecar.
An interesting fact, I swapped in a 2zzGE into my MR2, and dyno figures vary, but 200whp is nothing to be sneezed at in a car weighing roughly the same as the MX5, and remember thats Wheel power not Flywheel as stated in the comparison above, so best of both worlds for me, quick in a straight line, and super precise through the corners.... Iv said it before, its better than my 86 in everyway, besides refinement
