A lot of Porsche customers that plan to track their new car actually get the analog damper option. PASM is for luxury, ride, street comfort. I think it's the same case with other sportcars that offer some sort of PASM...the track heads will almost always downgrade (or upgrade in their eyes) to the analog shocks.

His point was that analog dampers are old tech and active dampers are top tech, and, he is right; pure analog can't outperform a good active damper.
Porsche GT3 is available only with PASM. Their most track focused cars are not very analog...
