Yea I know, but I noticed MT owners also not getting under 3000 lbs. Pretty sure their curb weight is measured with something like a half tank of fuel instead of 75-80%, maybe minus a couple other things.

The power seats that most people opt for don't help, they are heavy as s***. I didn't notice a single person with a totally base car, but I remember thinking based on reading a thread that a realistic weight for a totally base Cayman MT with 18" wheels and 2 way seats is 2950-3000, not 2890. I recall some people had 3200+ lbs Caymans thanks to their 20" wheels, 18-way heated vented seats, PASM, PDK etc.
