Just kidding. I run Koni on my personal Mini Cooper S and like them but I'm about to switch to custom valved Bilsteins (which would be like pure cane sugar fancy hispter soda). You could still do that with Bilstein HDs, the price just adds up.

In general I do like the gas pressure and monotube feel from Bilsteins...over big bumps they feel a little smoother and the response is a little quicker. The twintube Koni feels better on small and medium bumps. The rebound adjustment is pretty nice too but I really dig the fast response of the Bilstein.

The current price on the Koni Yellow full replacements from FT86club is hard to pass up. Bilstein HDs would work for you really well too and you could revalve them sometime down the line. I would be happy with either.

The fact that Bilstein's can be rebuilt by more shops alone is a big selling point. I was leaning that way anyway.

I usually don't like running a bigger rear bar without a bigger front. You could still bias the sizes so that you get an overall increase in rear roll stiffness.

Right now I'm around 1.5 deg negative. I'm planning to take it to a competent shop and have them slot the struts. My goal would be 2.5-2.75. Of course I'd do this and see how it feels before I install sway bars.

I was thinking of running a 20mm front with a 16mm rear. Both adjustable so I should be able to play with it if the base setup is too much for me. Would that be more to your liking?

are you on the gas mid corner?

FYI I'm doing c-stock in an FRS and I put in a Strano FSB because the oversteer was just too much for me. I now really enjoy the car's handling and any understeer is usually a result of me driving too fast for the radius of the corner (autocross)

I wouldn't even consider a RSB at this point
Other mods are a drop in filter and a Delicious Tuning tune.

I am squeezing the gas, but only enough to keep the suspension settled and maintain speed.

I certainly agree. Education is power though. If I can't accomplish what I want through basic setup of what I have, then I'll look at further mods.
