Contrary to popular belief, you do not have to use the stock jacking points with this type of lift. The reason you are told to use the jacking points with the stock jack is because the stock points have a cutout that fits the stock jack where the seam fits in the cutout and the jack actually contacts the flat area around the seams. Plus the contact footprint and the ground footprint of the stock jack is VERY small vs. the rubber pads and jack provided with the BL-3500/5000, so the stock jack has a much higher risk of bending the seam on the stock points and doing damage. The BL-3500/5000 or the Axis use a MUCH larger contact point with rubber pads and the ground footprint on the jacks is FAR larger so there is much less chance for movement and damage to the vehicle. As long as you have the BL-3500/5000 properly positioned and centered under the BRZ you should have no issues jacking the BRZ with the Ranger jack.
The video was jacking a BMW Z4 which has very similar dimensions and jacking points as the BRZ/FR-S. In fact both cars are the same overall length and the wheelbase of the Z4 is only 4 inches shorter.
