Scion's pure pricing is a reason for this but another large reason that you see more of a discount with the BRZ is because though they list the suggested MSRP the same they sell for much cheaper because they don't want it to affect WRX sales since they would fall in about the same price range. Not to mention most prefer the FR-S front bumper over the BRZ so they're willing to pay for it.
