Question about the auto:

How is the automatic engagement when you punch it? Is there immediate connection between gas and transmission or is there a bit of a stall before the engine and transmission engage before you take off?

For example I traded rides with my friend who dailies a v6 auto Camaro rs. When I would get on the gas after coming out of a turn the car would lug until I guess the torque converter and engine had caught up with each other.

It was like driving a turbo car with lots of lag. Step on the gas, nothing, then boom the V6 power kicks in.

Is the auto fr-s the same way?
