My Civic has 4 fan speeds as well, and it's fine with me since I can adjust the temperature. It's really a non-issue for me.
Keyless start was another thing that's just like... meh. Pretty soon we'll have cars that drive themselves at the press of a button. I actually enjoy the feel of turning the key in the ignition. Don't need a damn button for everything, IMHO.
