Its weird, because I had a car that took about two years to crack (chip was too big to fill), but even once it did crack, it took several months to crack the whole windshield.
Meanwhile, the tiny ass chip I got the other night left a 16inch crack in a matter of hours (since it was dark, I didn't notice the chip, so not sure about the progression).

Seriously... The chip is so small, I'm not even sure how long it would have taken me to notice it.
