Define $$$$. There are reliable ways to boost this motor. It's helpful to read some of the stickies, and search about cooling fixes. There's loads of threads.

The wrx probably costs more to insure, so either buy the wrx and spend more on insurance or turbo your frs and add lil' trinkets every so often. A lot of ppl can't really shake the modding bug...
