50 is probably the minimum for a log to show information that is useful. Obviously the longer on the flash, the more time your trims will have had to stabilize.
EDIT: Also you can change what you log. It probably would be helpful to log FLKC and knock correction instead of VVT intake and VVT exhaust. If you are seeing some knock correction or FLKC then that would explain why your IAM is below 1.
