In this context calling something a Chinese part is just slang for over seas knock off, not a direct comment on the country of origin. Thats not a stretch and you know it.

as some kiwi suggested earlier, we could just call them 'chang parts' since there are changs in both countries...but i am afraid people might argue that the changs in china actually spell it 'zhang'
