My Exige [with its 1.8L engine] harbors about 9.2 quarts of oil. 5.5 quarts for the normal sump and an extra 3.7 quarts through the dual oil coolers.
<6 quarts is fine with me. It's not like you change it often either, perhaps 5k miles for the first change and then every 7,500 to 10k miles depending on how the UOA's come back.
