Actually Daniel Hudson was in his friend's FRS this time around
But he clearly has a lot of seat time and it shows. The AE86 guys in general seem to have a lot more experience than many of our FT86 brethren but I would expect in the next year and beyond for the spread to get much tighter at the top end of each class. We already have guys from last year pulling much faster laptimes this year and as everyone is getting together and discussing their builds and driving lines/techniques with each other the field is getting more and more competitive.
I know personally that discussions with @
CSG Mike have drastically improved my own laptimes and even riding along with him in my own car has opened my eyes on what the car is capable of.
