I don't think anyone would argue that the WRX isn't a more practical car than the BRZ. With AWD, 4 doors and a larger trunk/or the 5 door hatch, they are just more practical on a every day basis. However, if one wants a more fun car, I think the BRZ will win. If this is your only car and you need to transport people occasionally/live in an environment with a lot of snow or rain, the added benefit of AWD might be worth it.
