The S2k would have gotten crushed by the Mustang in a straight line. It had no torque down low. Hell, it got crushed by over a second by the M roadster back in 2000 when it was only making 240 hp. Those two cars were nearly identical in p/w ratio but the extra displacement in the M dominated any drag race.
