I don't think a 370z would have anything on a turbo brz though. In turbo guise I'm betting this engine will make a lot more torque so that should even out the power discrepancy and from an interior perspective the 2 cars are about equal. Plus the brz will give you 2 back seats for those times when you have to move a few extra people.
I'm not sure what other cars out there could even compete with a turbo brz at the same price range. You wouldn't have the straight line acceleration figures of a mustang but the weight and handling advantage would probably keep you competitive around most tracks.
To me a turbo would give the brz the balls to compete with other sports cars on the market from a performance standpoint instead of only being "more fun to drive".
