I actually have no issue with using the twin as a baby hauler, but mom isn't going to be happy in it. I'm going to give it the college try when I go on paternity leave and go from there. I'll probably go with an 08 IS250 because I hate the swooshes on the 09+ model years.

Well now, I wouldn't consider a FR-S/BRZ for a full time child hauler unless they are big/old enough to buckle themselves in ..... and by that time they are almost too big to fit into the "back seat".
