And good point about the R35's aluminum V6 and its cost. Hmm. What about a Z350's V6?

the second gen 350Z motors (VQ35HR) is a solid motor. the first gen (VQ35DE) is ok at best when compared to the HR model. the HR is better designed in almost every way and way more stout. then there is the 370Z motor (VQ37VHR). freakin awesome motor in my opinion. I really wanted to sway the 37VHR into my S30Z but life happened and funds ran dry after buying the FR-S lol.
the good thing about the 37VHR and the 35HR is they aren't all that expensive. Hell the 35HR can be had with motor, trans, harness and ecu for under $4500 if you shop right. then add a twin turbo kit (probably $6-8000) and you can have 5-600hp.
While i dig these motors too for the price of a VQ engine swap and build you can probably get a GM LSX engine and swap it with no added mods and have 400+hp with roughly the same weight. (turbos added to the V6 engine add a bit of weight).
