Imagine if Jonny trackboy shows up and strips a bolt swapping brake pads or breaks something on his car before he goes out in the first session.
Now it takes him a couple of hours to get it fixed and he just makes it out for the first time in session 3.
With the current rules, he would only get one timed session.

Timing session 4 would at least give an opportunity to have a 2nd session and still finish the day early.

Just sayin
That's a very specific "what if" situation :P Shit happens at the track and there's nothing we can do with car problems that are beyond our control.

HOWEVER, I'm down for timing 1-4 IF the majority of people stay for the award ceremony at the end. 1 or 2 people leaving early is not that big a deal but if we have more than half missing by the time we get times compiled in the late afternoon during the 5th sessions then we're sacrificing any sense of running a competition just so a few guys can attempt to get a faster laptime in on a track that they're still learning anyways.

We can try the 1-4 timing over the next couple events (if @CSG Mike and @mav1178 are ok with the change) but again if the folks clamoring for the late sessions are leaving early, then I would argue strongly to return to the 1-3 format.
