I don't agree with that reasoning. It would be better if we didn't mislead people by posting it, as it's only been on the test site, and in none of the press releases at any time in the past couple years. We've seen the official accessory listing

I'm only going off USDM photos from auto shows/dealership visits. There have been very few BRZ Premium interior shots, but if it was at a USA auto show sitting on the floor you can bet the black knobs are production. I'm not aware of the exact source of the silver manual HVAC knob picture.
