Why? It makes perfect sense, the 86 still fits in the price bracket between the two. As far as the power boost, every indication seems to show it will be announced in 2015, there is absolutely no reason to think otherwise unless you ignore the evidence. The 86 isn't going anywhere while Akio is alive. Toyota has had 5 sports cars in their line-up before at one time which seems to hold with the statement of an entire line-up to come.

I'm actually concerned with how they will nerf the FT-1 for production. A lot of the appeal is from the big, more profound elements. It should at least push the envelope as much as the new C7. Just ignore the transformers and go heavy TVR. Always wanted a reliable TVR with a I-6, this would be perfect if Toyota could do it.
