Sure. Crossfit utilizes the mix of aerobic exercise, gymnastics (body weight exercises), and Olympic weight lifting. They are similar in the sense of using various methods of physical activity to find new ways to stress and confuse your muscles for further development. Ultimately to prevent adaptation of the body to the movements and methods applied to it. Did that help?
