All I've got is a pic of the seats before I put in the screw. But I put a dot where the screw goes...and it screws in in the direction of the red arrow. It's just a short black sheet metal screw (pointy ended) so it would make it's own hole a pull itself thru the plastic handle and into the plastic base of the seat. Probably an inch long at the most. If you put it into the flat part of the handle underneath where your fingers grab the handle, then you probably won't even see it at all.
All you're doing is pinning the handle to the base of the seat so that the handle can't move...unless you take out the screw.
Everybody needs an extra screw every now and then, you know?
