I think you would be surprised how well sedan version of the 86 would sell especially for Toyota. Not so much for subaru due top the imprezza. That's where the partnership becomes problematic. Toyota needs this more than subaru does performance wise and subaru needed it more technology wise.

For those reasons I don't see this car going anywhere more than a second gen with FI and then the way of the dodo.
