Those pads were explained to me as being the source of the problem for most of the squealing. It was recommended to me to spray the window, inside and out, with wax. Pledge was mentioned. Run the window up and down a few times. Repeat a few times then clean the windows inside and out. This will theoretically impregnate the pads with wax and stop the squealing.
