That doesn't explain what caused the pressurized gasoline to ignite such that it stayed burning, though. Usually it's the gasoline vapors or atomized fuel where the major danger lies. So, what caused the fuel to ignite? Sparks from the light pole as the heavy object struck it at high speed?
