Cars are fun as you approach the limit of tire adhesion. Everything on your list will have limits so high you'll cruise around at way below their potential probably close to the speed limit to keep from being arrested every time out. Just about every Corvette I see is doing close to the speed limit which just doesn't look like that much fun. Would be the same frustration with every car that approaches super car performance.
I say mod the twin and drive it on the street, and get yourself a good track day car to play with on the track.
I think you just hit the nail on the head for why I'm so bored... Trapping 121mph NA in the 1/4 mile says a lot about my Corvette. I think it really is just to fast to enjoy without getting in trouble which is why I love going to the drag strip.
Any car I buy to replace it with my plans will have the same problem and just be to much for me to drive and play with on the street... It may be a street car but it's just not meant to play very often.... I guess that's the realization I have been avoiding for years now. No new project will fix that either it will just become the same problem again...
You have given me something else to consider for the time being. Not sure starting over is really what I'm missing so much as being able to enjoy what I have made.
