About half the pics I see with a Pro-Kit look great, while the other half you can barely tell the car is dropped.

I think some of that is that the "just installed" ProKit images are showing springs that haven't settled. Once ProKits settle, they look just low enough to close that gap perfectly, but still high enough to be kind on shocks and look semi-OEM.
