Alright guys. @
tech4pdx was so disappointed in the product that he gave it to me for free to try and see if I can get it up to snuff.
I'll be honest here, it's pretty bad. It has a horrible finish on it with some minor cracks in the gel coat. I figure I will have to put about 12-15 hours of my time into it to bring it to an acceptable level. It's really odd in that it doesn't even have the cutouts for the side markers which I may or may not add. I'm not a body guy but have experience with fiberglass and bond from my days as a professional car audio installer.
I started this thread so obviously this was a product I wanted for my car. I'm in the middle of building a dedicated track vehicle so the shift from form>function to function>form has begun. I won't be looking for absolute perfection with this part but rather a "good enough for plastidip" finish. In it's current form the body lines need to be defined better and the finish has cracking and runs in the gel coating. PRE Racing was working on this for the previous owner and have cut a few holes to match up the factory bezels and tow hook so we'll see if those need to be fixed.
I'll post in this thread the process so you can make the decisions for yourselves wether you want to take this on or not.
And thanks @
tech4pdx. My wife will officially hate you for the next month while I try and resurrect this bumper from the depths of hell.
