Hey!
I've been all over this excellent site for around six months, and just snagged my FR-S in July. I'm 30 and this is my first new car. I wound up with an Ashault car with the six-speed automatic gearbox and rear decklid spoiler. This is the first new car that I've ever wanted. Some of my previous cars include a 1971 Celica ST Coupe, a '74 Celica GT Coupe, a '77 Celica ST Coupe, a '77 Celica GT Liftback, a '92 MR2 and a 1970 124 Fiat Sport Spider. I feel incredibly big-headed about my FR-S. I really feel like it is the first car in several decades that embodies the true spirit of vintage Motorsport. In my mind that means that it looks pretty and handles well. I've only lightly modded my car. So far I have removed the rear FR-S badge, installed clear JDM side markers, a 2" aluminum antenna by Perrin and a TRD cold-air intake. Brown leather seating is next on my list of to-do's followed by a TRD exhaust. My car suffers from crickets and an annoyingly low idle on occasion, dips to 500rpm when I roll up to a stop. Not too concerned for now. Fuel economy has been 30mpg consistently. Thanks for maintaining a wonderful website everyone! Looking forward to becoming part of the community. -Andrew
