I'm not sure I can answer your first question. You lose a warrenty, and cheap parts/service. You gain what is in the pictures, and a ton of performance. It has had one failure in the 2.5 years I've owned it - a CEL for a coil pac going bad, so it's pretty reliable. Then again, tires, oil changes, etc. have cost a good bit more than an FRS.
Your car would have to be paid off to do this. Financing an older car can be tough.

I wish my car was lower milage and paid off, then again i love it and trading it would be tough.
