That is one of my peeves is the cost. I have a keyless entry remote and a chipped key for my Tacoma. I've crushed my remote when I crashed my moto and it was only $60 to replace. During the process, I wasn't a sitting duck while it was on order b/c I still had the turn key method ability. I've lost count of how many times my gf said to me, "what ever you do, pls DO NOT LOSE THIS blah blah" every time I borrow her car.

Don't get me wrong, I love new techology, my career is based on innovation. It's always wise to weigh the odds just in case something happens because you never know.
