How loud is this exhaust supposed to be? The exhaust is loud enough where I don't hear the engine until it gets past 4k rpm, and interior get loud and boomy - definitely too loud for someone in the back (short friends) to chat with driver/front passenger. Drones/gets boomy during highway cruising. So far my experience doesn't seem to match the reviews (quiet when cruising, no droning, etc), then again maybe my expectations were different.

I guess the better question to ask - for those with the TRD CAI or deleted intake sound tube, at what point in the rev range are you able to hear the engine over the exhaust in the interior with the windows up?
Turns out my exhaust was installed correctly.

Maybe because it's still in break-in phase, but the exhaust drones very loudly for me when cruising at 70-75mph. Not that bad when cruising around 55-60mph though. Did a drive from Chicago to DC, and it gave me a headache, especially on the PA turnpike with all the uphill/downhill sections. Drowned out the music I was trying to listen to. I'll give it a couple more months to see if the droning dies down a bit (driven about 1k miles with exhaust, most of it Chicago-DC), but if it doesn't the stock exhaust will go back on. I probably had wrong expectations for the exhaust, given that this is the first car I've tried to modify in such a way.
