The fuel pressure after the HPFP is around 10 times that of a normal EFI car. I wouldn't trust any after market clamp on any hose or line post HPFP. Direct Injection can be very dangerous, I have seen leaks at these pressures so small that they are invisible yet spewing gas in a highly combustible state.
Its like the old trick where a guy puts out his cigarette in a jar of gas, no fire. I've seen leaks on EFI that would scare anyone that were obviously there for months or years without a fire. But direct injection is an entirely different animal.
If you ever have to work on it yourself don't deviate from the factory service manual, if it says replace 10 seals and fittings, do it. Don't believe anything you read on internet forums that say otherwise.
A modification of the fuel supply post HPFP is risky. The right way to develop any modifications like these would be to dye your gas tank with UV dye. Run the engine in the dark and inspect with a good UV light. Do this more than once over the course of several weeks. Toyota/Subaru probably ran tests like this for 100k miles, checking every 1k when developing the DI system.
