The people on Nasioc pretty much unanimously hate this car. I think deep in their hearts they all want a 2 door delete on their WRX-STi. Having 4 door is trivial compared to not having awd and turbo...which obviously is not what this car is about.
And you're right, the Subaru chief engineer said this car will never be a an AWD due to the physical constraints and also the hard work they put into building up to this weight distribution.
