I'm not sure I would really be comfortable racing on stock tires and brake pads. Basically my car isn't really to where I want it to be yet, plus I know that if I go once I'll get addicted to a hobby I can't afford!  |
I hear ya. Gotta have the dough to support this expensive habit. That said, you can definitely get away with stock tires on track.. you will have to get some better pads though, but nothing too fancy, I'm running Stoptechs and they work great. I kind of wish I ran a track day with stock tires, just cause they communicate so much better if you're doing it right or wrong. Just look at what smmmurf can do on stock tires! Humbling to say the least.
But no pressure, just letting you know it's possible and that I have a helmet if you're game
